Thermometer

I will be getting my BGE this week and hope to have it up and cooking quickly. From what I read a thermometer with a probe that can remain in the meat is needed. Any suggestions? The only one I have found is a MAVERICK ET-73.
Thanks

I've got a couple of a brand sold at Walmart: Acurite. They're only about $11-13 each, and have lasted longer than any of the others I've had.

Some eggers on here have had some difficulties with their ET-73's, but mine has been working flawlessly for almost a year....despite me accidentally cranking the smoker probe up to about 550. Good luck.

I have had several "cheapies" and currently use a Polder, it costs more than others (I have used) but seems accurate, reliable and durable.

I am currently using a Weber wireless thermometer from Lowe's (around $30) and love it. I had heard mixed reviews about this unit but have had no troubles whatsoever.
