Prickly Pear BBQ Sauce

The prickly pear cactus fruits are ripe so I picked about three gallons of them.

Quartered them, covered with water, and simmered them for a few hours.

Strained out the the juice.

Then reduced the juice down to 1 cup and added seasonings and lemon juice to make a decent BBQ sauce. Kim makes jelly from these and I have brewed some really good beer with them. -RP
