I thought I replied to your Nikon question the other day but looking back I don't see it anywhere. I'm actually shooting with a D70 and love it! The resolutiuon is fantastic and the batteries seem to last forever. I shoot strictly in the 'auto' mode as I've yet to seriously study the 200 page manual (all in English)! As an extra bonus, a few auto-focus lenses from my old SLR work with the new one. If you hunt around on the web you might find some free tutorials for whatever Nikon you purchase. Enjoy!!
