Easy Gasket Removal

Thanks for everyone that responded to my previous post.

I cooked some steaks tonight and then following the cook ramped up the dome temp to 600+ degrees and let everything get nice and hot. Opened lid a bit and placed a bolt between the 2 halves for 1 hour while still keeping things hot. Took a putty knife to the gasket and it pealed like a banana skin leaving very little residue behind. Tomorrow I will fine clean the edge and attach a Rutland to the bottom shell. I know, I know danger abound but I have researched it in depth and have zero concern.
