Surprise Birthday Present

After cooking on my dad's large BGE all summer, he surprised me today with my own medium BGE for my 21st birthday. Definitely the best birthday present I have received. Trying to think of what to cook first. Too many choices.

Welcome to the crew and get your three little feet out and put the under that egg.Looks like you are are on a cement slab so you should not have a problem.If in doubt run down to the Home Depot or Lowes and get a couple of paver's to put under the egg.If I was in your shoes I would not be able to wait for the weekend and the five dollars to get it up and running would be my first priority.Just do not go for nuke temperatures at the beginning stages.Try to keep your cooks in the 350@ range or lower for a little while.Enjoy.

The dealer delivered the egg today and forgot the feet. He came back with them about an hour later so I am good to go now.

Happy 21st and what a present! Even if you keep it simple like hamburgers; you know the results you'll get after cooking on your Dad's. Maybe he gave you this so he could do his own cooking again?

That probably is why he gave me one. I cooked on his probably 5 nights a week this summer.
