Xl hot spots in the cooker?

Hi Everyone...

I have a question.... I am about to purchase a XL ...I was checking out a vid on you tube...and the guy claimes he heard that the XL has hot spots in the cooker because of the size... Is there any truth to this? Should I be looking at the lrge.... We have some big parties sometimes so I was going strictly on the size of the grill... Thx for any comments...

I own an XL, an in my opinion whoever said that hasn't cooked on an XL. I have cooked on quite a few cookers before getting the egg and know what a hot spot is. Trust me the XL doesn't have hot spots when cooking indirect.

I went ahead and bought the Xl...smoked a turkey last weekend... came out so tender and juicy...I love it!
