I NEED those to go with my coffee right now! Hey, try the top pin wheels with a little pesto and chopped sun dried tom on them, brush with egg white and top with grated parm, then bake. they can be done the day before then baked off. VERY good and pretty too!

That's like little packages of looove! They look awesome Rick! Was there a preference between the variations? I'd be going to work with a blue covered face. Blueberry's my favorite! Terrific job as always!

how do you get the pin wheels to stay closed in the middle? does the egg wash help?

ha! hard to say on the preference... those in the cast iron were saved for the next day and had the whipped cream on top and the pin wheels had turbinado sugar and cinnamon. the larger ones were the best!

Rick, I use just a little pesto and dried tom and really push the points down so they almost seal right though the goodies. the flavors are so intense that they don't need much. when I am cooking them the next day I do the egg wash and parm just before I bake them.

Rick, those look super, as always. As a side note, I did find those Pepperidge Farm puff pastry cups at the supermarket, so it's gonna be individual blueberry pies for the family tonight. Thanks for the tip, amigo.
