I was already to post pictures but Photobucket is slllllooooowwwww tonight....
Tonight it was just the wife and I for dinner...so I did some Pig Candy, Tater Tots & Georgia Red Wings for dinner ...when the wings were almost done I brushed them with Frank's Red Hot Sauce...I cooked them indirect at 350 for 45 minutes per side...we like them crispy & a then I fixed a SURPRISE DESSERT...
Yesterday my daughter who lives in Gettysburg called and said Dad turn on the food network...there is something you have got to try on the BGE....bacon dipped in chocolate covered in nuts... :woohoo:
so while I did the pig candy I fixed a few extra pieces of bacon...I let them drain on a paper towel..after dinner I melted candy quik and coated the bacon and sprinkled on chopped pecans...the verdict...it was good and we liked the flavors but NEXT TIME...I will use thick cut Maple Bacon..this was hickory smoked...I will also break the bacon in two and dredge both sides of the bacon in the chocolate then sprinkle with nuts...the pictures looked great :silly: I will try to post them later...

bacon dipped in chocolate covered in nuts
I saw the same thing. Can't wait for pics. Was that on Diner's, Drive Ins, and Dives?
I have some bacon thawing out to try this week.
Candy quik? What do you think about Hersey's syrup?
Mike -
I am not sure Hershey's syrup would be thick enough. I had to put this in the fridge for a few minutes for it to harden...it was on the Food network show where they have a few hours to cook a big meal..I forgot the name...

Yea, something is going to have to be cold for it harden. Nice pics.
