So it started to rain up here in Seattle (go figure) and i was trying to put on the cover quickly over the table and eggand it caught on one of the legs of the platesetter and down it went to the concrete below and turned into a couple of nice peices, damn that realy sucked. Is there any ways to rig up the egg for indirect without useing the platesetter? BTW I have a large. Thanks

Earlier in the week there was a thread were someone said they were using a castiron DO as a placesetter.

Why not try to put it back together again with some JB Weld ? It worked on Humpty Dumpty didn't it ? Good Luck.

Oh boy, hearing that is liking seeing someone get a shot to the groin.
Best of luck with the platesetter. If you have a raised grate you could also just use a pizza pan or something on the lower level for indirect. -
Just fix it. this one has been holding up for about 8 months now. JB Weld

Thanks for the help guys, its broken in half and one of the legs is broken in a couple places so I dont know if its savagable. is the JB bond heat resentant?
-
yes it is because after you fix it you gonna put it right back in the egg and cook with it and heat that baby up....be sure you let jb dry first....
