For the folks in and around West Michigan, The Outdoor Cook, 251 Northland Dr., Rockford, MI, is hosting the 2nd Annual Rogue River Willie's Turkey Frying, Grilling, Roasting and Smoking Championship. [p]All you need to compete is a grill/smoker/deepfryer and a turkey. There is no charge. Winner receives a trophy and bragging rights. There are also prizes for 2nd-5th place. [p]Last year, Julie Applegate of East Grand Rapids, MI won, roasting a 20 lb. bird on her Big Green Egg.[p]It is loads of fun- both to compete and spectate. [p]So- you think you got turkey?
