i opened my egg today to find mold all over the inside. After speaking with a few folks they said to NEVER use ANY cleaning solutions in the egg. I ran it at 450 for 1hr and was told to brush it out. Does anyone know what is meant by "brushing it out (with details) ?
THANKS !!
THANKS !!

Make a ball of aluminum foil and rub it all over the inside. Lots of "stuff" will fall off.

Thanks... should i remove all of the inner parts (ring, etc) ?

Yep get a brush and apply to the interior in vertical or horizontal strokes.. You know like brushing your teeth..

Usually a burn off will clean your firebox & firering. So taking them out won't do much unless you have ash accumulated behind your firebox that needs to be cleaned out.
-
Use a grill brush and/or a crumpled ball of aluminum foil - and just rub it all over the inside of the dome and the sides of the firering.
I see I was beat to the punch by others....sorry for the repetition.
