I'm gonna take some pulled pork over to my friends pizzeria to make some pizza and calzones( I don't have an egg yet). How much BBQ sauce do you guys use on a pizza? As much BBQ sauce as pizza sauce? Anyone ever use Blues Hog sauce for a pizza? When do u add the pork? I don't want to dry it out.

i have used about as much as i would pizza sauce.. i would put the pork under the cheese to help to keep from drying it out..

I agree with Terry on the sauce so far as how much to use. I have also mixed 1/2 bbq sauce & 1/2 pizza sauce and that was good also.

Put the pulled pork on top of the sauce with sauteed sweet onions then put cheese on top of that to keep from drying out. This is one of my favorite pizzas...
  • I use the BBQ sauce just as I would use pizza sauce. This one is Sweet Baby Ray's, pulled pork, pineapple, and cheese.

I would suggest you try making the pizza as a white pie for the cook, put on your cheese & toppings, bake it, then after its finished, drizzle a nice design ontop with the sauce, I too like Sweet Baby Rays for this, but it is sweet & spicy, pretty powerful stuff, & I have found that if you put it on in the same proportion as tomato sauce it will be overpowering
