Got my Flip Ring & Hanger combo from Eggcessories.com today. While at lunch I stopped by a Bed, Bath & Beyond and scored a nice rectangle pizza stone too for only $14.99. I think I like the square shape for good airflow.
Of course I had to try the new Flip Ring so there are 2 spatchcock chickens on now.
Here's the view of the new setup... well at least 2 of the many possible options. I guess now my platesetter will become my big pizza stone.

Fortunately I don't remember the last time I ate at a BK. McD, Wendy's, etc. Although I will freely admit to hitting White Castle at least once a month. -
We have a White Castle minutes away, I need a fix about once a month as well (with Onion Chips).
What part of Cincy are you in? Erik -
How far NE? I'm in Lewis Center, south of Delaware. Erik

I'm just outside of Mount Vernon, in Apple Valley.

Very SW part of Cincinnati. I can hear the barges as the churn upriver at night. Soooo peaceful a sound.
-
Not far at all, maybe we'll have an Ohio Eggfest one day.
-
We need to have one, quite a few members in Ohio and the surrounding states!
-
Nice to know there is another Dayton egger and more Ohio eggers.

I am glad the box got there in one piece. If you would, let me know how the stone works out. Past reporst suggest BB&B stones can break in the egg.
You might want to flip the hanger up, then place the stone on it. This way the stone is a couple inches above the fire ring. Just an idea to protect the stone.www.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc. -
With ya'll on that one.

Yeah that was a bad choice for a photo. I think I'd only ever put a stone on hanger down would be for VERY LOW and slow. That setup where I have the stone so close to the lump would really be for CI and searing.
I'm surprised to hear the BB&B stone history. This appears to be a thicker stone than my 16" round pizza stone. Oh well it was only $15 so that's not as bad as loosing a $40 stone if I do. -
I think that was everybody actually.
-
I most certainly did!

What size egg is that for? All of them or just some?
Thanx,
