Keeping the butt warm till dinner time

Good Afternoon,
Well, my speedy butt is done. Actually it didn't end up all that speedy, it took 18 hours for a little more than five pounds - cooking at between 200 and 250.[p]Now the question, the butt came off the grill at 12:30, but dinner isn't until 6:00. I've got the butt wrapped in tinfoil, then wrapped in a towel, then placed in a small cooler.[p]Can I leave it like that until 6:00, or do I have to refrigerate it and then heat it up again at dinner time. [p]If I need to refrigerate it:
When do I pull it - before or after the refer?
What's the best way to heat it - microwave or oven?[p]Thanks so much
Harry

Harry,
Definitely need to pull while warm, would use a slow oven to heat up,I personally can't stand meat heated in the microwave..nde

Strm2Smoke,
Just for fun, try heating up some pulled pork that has a little vinegar sauce added to it in the microwave. Place in a shallow bowl, cover with plastic wrap with a few holes poked in it and cook on no more than 30% power. Heat only until warmed thru and that is it. This will reduce that warmed over flavor to nearly nothing and is the method we have used in the restaurant for years. Brined meats will also reheat better than non-brined meats in the microwave too, without getting that warmed over flavor.[p]Ashley
