I have BGE large and medium.
I live in an appartment and will be buying a house for next year but in the meantime i plan on using my medium egg (even in the winter).
My problem...
I am a meat lover and my wife is a vegetarian.
The reason i have 2 BGE is one for me and one for her.[p]My question...
Because i can't wait till next year to use one of my eggs i would like to know that if i start to cook meat products in the medium and then later on fish will the fish have the taste of the meat.
Because if it will have even a little bit of the meat taste then i will only be able to use the medium egg for fish and vegetables.[p]Need to know guys...

NIGHTBREED,[p]If you start your cook with meat and finish with fish I would brush down the grate after the meat comes off and then wipe down well with an oiled paper towel to remove any residues of meat. If you cooked a fatty piece of meat prior to the fish then the fats dripping/cooking on the coals will flavor the fish.... the only way to get around that would be to have a drip pan under the meat so the drippings don't taint the coals. Those two steps should eliminate any meat flavors to the fish.
Sounds like you got twist thrown into your grilling plans.... hope this helps and good luck.[p]WD

NIGHTBREED, no, don't worry! Does wifey have separate pots and pans for his and her cooking? I doubt it. BTW I hope you're not thinking the BGEs will remain pristine white inside! They will graze over with a shade of black like you've never seen before.
