How to do baked potatoes

I am going to butter maybe a little rub and foil....any better suggestions and what temp I should aim for?

I just wash them and put them in the Egg, 350-400 indirect for an hour. If you like eating the skins, you can coat them with olive oil and kosher salt. -RP

imho foil defeats the purpose of using the egg. rub with olive oil sprinkle with sea salt or kosher.
they are done at 210°
twice baked are fine. use skim, easy on the butter cheese bacon etc. put them on a plank or add smoke and a rub for more flavor.

I have a couple on right now. A little oil and some Jamaican Firewalk. I am doing them with some stuffed Zuccinni that the stuffing was already cooked so I stuck aluminum cooking nails through the potatoes so they will cook faster.

twice baked
Potatoes, Baked, Twice, Pulled Pork, TB
2 idaho baking potatoes
1/4 C sour cream
1/2 C sharp cheese
1/2 C your favorite pulled pork
a little butter
salt and pepper to taste
1 bake potatoes in over or on egg at 400 for 1 hr. or until soft
2 cut potatoes in half length wise and scoop out potato without ripping the skin. place skins to the side
3 add all other ingredients except for cheese mix well
4 place mixture into a Ziploc bag and cut corner off to make a cheap piping bag
5 squeeze mixture out of homemade piping bag into reserved skins
6 top with cheese
7 place on egg indirect 400 for 35 min

i usually make a cheap pan to hold my potatoes in out of aluminum foil it makes transferr in and out of egg easier

No foil but follow AZRP... and some good smokin wood. Cherry, Grape, Apple or even JD Old No. 7
I think I will go put some on now along with corn.

Casserole, Potato, Tator Tot, Bente
This is one of my favorite cooks simple, and good... i usually add a few grates of pepper... but no salt because the soup is salty enough
INGREDIENTS:
1 Bag Onion flavored tater tots
1 Lb Hamburger meat
2 Cans Cream of mushroom soup
2 Cups Cheddar cheese grated
1 Small Onion
3/4 Cup Milk
Procedure:
1 Brown meat and add onion until meat is brown and onion is soft.
2 Whisk milk and soup together pour over meat.
3 Spray a lasagna pan with pam, add tater tots frozen to bottom of pan..
4 Pour meat mixture over tots and spread cheese on top.
5 put in egg indirect at 350 for 30 minuets covered.. uncover and cook another 30 min
6 serve and enjoy

hi new with the green egg! first night with it and was wonderig how long does it take to cook baked potatoes, chicken breasts and striploin steaks? i would appreciate the help!
