This is a recipe I took from Webers "Real Grilling"...I know, I know....
But they've got some great recipes in there. If you don't have any of thoses books, I recomend them highly.
2 tblspns ea:
minced chives
dijon mustard
lime juice
rice vinegar
honey
2tsp granulated garlic
1tsp kosher salt
1tsp ground blk pepper
dash o cayene
blend all in blender and slowly drizzle in 1/4 cup EVOO til smooth
coat salmon and plank for 30 min at 350f
it's a winner!

Wow.... those look great.
I don't know if people have a problem with their recipes.... just their cookers.

Looks great, how much honey did you use. My wife just asked me if I had a recipe for salmon when your post hit.
Gordon -
Looks great Chris. Where do you get your planks?
-

Hey Bacchus,
if you've got a saw, goto the home depot and get a 1x8........make sure it's untreated, thats the cheapest way to go.
Rusty Rooster turned me on to that. I used to get them at wal-mart for 5.99 for 2. 1 1x8 is about 4 bucks and yields 16 to 20 planks!

Got it. Measure twice, cut once. Read the recipe twice all the way through, and enjoy. Thanks
-
Looks terrific Chris. Congratulations!!

Not a big salmon fan but the wife is. Question about the untreated planks, cedar I presume and do you sand them or anything before you put the food on them or just rinse and soak for about an hour?
-
Hey golfer,
yeah, cedar planks...I put the skin side down for salmon, so I don't sand, just rinse and soak. Anything else (shrimp, mashed potatoes, skinless fish) sand it a little as to not get splinters! It's actually kinda smooth when you buy it though.
Try this recipe....I don't dig on salmon much either, but damn this is good.

Thanks will have to make some for the wifey hopefully this weekend.
I see they are expecting alot from the Dawgs this year. Man, we should have made Bowden retire after his last natl championship and hired richt on the spot. The biggest mistake the noles made, letting richt get away.
