while you are conspiring with the hen, and the hatter and the lady egret and the rest of the estrogen drunk ya-ya sisterhood, getting ready for your little tea and crumpets and cookies session on friday in atlanta so that you can figure out how to beat up on poor old mad max on saturday night during the ugly steak/hanger steak throw down in the parking lot, me and the testerone gang will be knocking back frozen oranges and chili dogs and greasy fries and fried pies (boy, somehow that doesn't sound nearly as good as tea and crumpets as cookies does it ... hmmmm) at the varsity. . .talking about all sorts of manly endeavors like, like, i don't know, football and beer??!!! ...anyway, you'd better watch out now, cause i picked up a couple of hanger steaks and actually, yes, actually did a PRACTICE COOK tonight!!!!. . . .so here is a hanger steak taking its bath in the super, duper, top secret marinade (i'd tell you what it is, but then i'd have to kill ya!!) ....



and here it is on the small egg, grilling at the super top secret dome temp!!!



another one after the flip. .. i'd tell you how long it was prior to the flip, but again, yep, i'd have to kill ya, and i don't think randy would be to happy about that. ...



and here it is resting on the plate prior to slicing .. .i'd tell you how long the total cooking time was, but you know, again, i'd tell ya, but you guessed it ... . i wouldn't want to have to come out there to arizona simply to have to kill you!! (i do love you too much to have to do that you know )

a bunch of us usually meet up there on friday for lunch. .. me and the spawn usually get into town around 1:30 or 2:00 and head straight there. .. .wise one, smokey, emandems dad, chubby, egret and others. .. .we take over the upper dining room for and hour or so. ..its a good time ....

well, with all those girls you and randy had, you practically birthed your very own girl scout troop all by yourself!! ...its amazing randy doesn't weigh 500 pounds from all the cookies his own daughters probably made him buy all those years (btw, i'm sure if i had all those girl scouts living under my roof, i'd be weighing five hundred pounds by now - i'd be looking like the world's biggest thin-mint dat's for sure!!!) ...anyway, you and the rest of the ya-ya's go find yourself a nice little park to sit in after your team and crumpets on friday, build a little fire, bang your little drum, poke your fingers and pass the blood between yourselves, and do the rest of the sisterhood rituals. ... in the meantime, the boys will do their rituals (probably involve some scratching and flatulance of some kind or another), and then we'll all meet up at the meet and greet!). . . dang, october can't get here fast enough!!!

the judges have wives? yes ? said wives can exert enourmous pre judging pressure on their husband/judges. although it seems counter intuitive, i would include a ya-ya judge.
this would do much to insure the post judging safety of your friends and create an illusion of fairness.
