Just practicing up for the upcoming 3 fests. I've made the Chocolate Chip Kahlua cake before and had much success. Ask Egret....But my signature cake is "The Rum Cake". I usally only make them at Christmas time..my only hesitation at making them on the egg...was I wasn't sure if I could get the glaze to boil...and work. So...here goes.

just about to come off. cooked for 1 hour, 350, indirect, elevated grid.

working on the glaze....yelp...it can boil...

had to try a piece before taking it to the neighbors.
YYuuummmmmm

My observances...I had a hot spot...so one side got a little more done. I think I'd check the temp a little more often...got up to 400 at one point. Probably go about 55 mins. Otherwise...you gotta try one. Come to the next fest....Denver....we'll be there.
