Omaha Mark,
I used a small piece of cure 81 ham, Philadelphia Honey Nut flavored cheese and honey maple bacon. Did not pre-cook the bacon. These were greattttttttttttttttttttt.

I left a little of the vein and a few seeds in for heat. I think most remove them but am not sure.

Omaha Mark, I have stuffed mine with the little cocktail sausages due to time limitations and I have also bought the little smokie sausages and grilled them first with a sweet sauce.[p]I microwave my bacon for a short time before using to wrap.[p]Both have gone over well.

We have done them with pulled pork, cooked hamburger, and slivers of smoked sausage. We do not cook the bacon first. Hubby says he likes the pulled pork ones best. [p]~nikki

nikkig:[p]I made some ATB's with Juggy's smoked bacon recipe. I hate to admit it, but my pepper crop was super hot this year and we just could not eat them! I cut them up and mixed them in when cooking some spanish rice. Now the rice was great!

Try a small size shrimp.

Omaha Mark,
I use hot Italian sausage, and raw bacon for the wrap.

Omaha Mark,
I'm doing some now, my first time to nuke the bacon for 30 seconds. I will not do that again, I found that it was too slick after being heated, made it hard to wrap around the pepper. Just my opinion.
Cheers

Omaha Mark,
Ooops! My first post didn't make it.[p]I used only the little sausages, cream cheese and cold bacon up until the last batch when I sprinkled a little rib rub on the inside and some tony's cajun seasoning on the outside. My wife said she like these the best. [p]From what I've read I do believe you could put anything inside them and they would still be wonderful. So why not experiment during your next batch and make a variety of them to see which one's are best. That's exactly what I plan to do next time.[p]Another thing, no one has mentioned freezing them after they have been cooked. I just may try that as well. Sure would be nice to take one to work with my TV dinner. (or three ABT's and toss the dinner).[p]Good ABTing to you.[p]Spring Chicken
