Great Steak Tonight

Just now sitting down with a cup of french roast coffee following a great meal. Rib eye steak, 1.5 pounds, cooked 3/3/4 @ 700+. About 2 hours before, hand coated with olive oil and my version of Wild Willie's rub. I shared with wife, she got about 40%, and she provided steamed artichokes and twice baked potatos. A bottle of Yellow Tail merlot completed things. First thing in morning going for annual physical so may not have to many of these meals for a while. In the meantime....burp!![p]Big Ed

Steak sounds great, but what is 3/3/4? What was the doneness of your steak?[p]As for your physical - enjoy the steaks and just have a little smaller portions! A guy has to live!!

3/3/4 means a 3 minute sear (both vents fully open), steak is flipped, another 3 minute sear (fully open still), then a 4 minute dwell with both vents closed.
