    T. M. Hess,
Both. The wooden peel is used to make the pizza and transfer it to the stone. After that, the aluminum peel is preferable to move and extract the pizza from the egg. So if you like lot's of toys, it's a great deal, get both.

    T. M. Hess,
I have gotten along just fiine with my two wooden peels, but I can certainly see the case for a metal one as well. I would make for easier extraction of your pizza if the crust happens to stick to the pizza stone.
