I've been seeing a lot of people taking their Eggs on vacation. Any suggestions on the best way to travel with it? I went to Block Island for a couple weeks this summer and I loathed using the gas grill at the cottage. In frustration I bought a Weber while I was out there so I could at least use charcoal. Still wishing I had brought it :(

Some people make a wooden carrier for theirs. I put mine in the backseat with a blanket wrapped around it and then put the seatbelt around it. I take my small camping and love it...

With the cost of travel these days I may consider sending my egg on vacation by itself and staying home.

What size EGG are you traveling with?
Here is a link from WessB's site on building a transporter for your Small. I built it for my trip to Saint George Island and it took about an hour.

I'm surprised the wife hasn't made something to carry it....after all, she is quite handy with lumber and power tools.

Our small travels quite a bit and our mini is going to too. We even hauled our lg from Maine to fl the first years we had it. LOL

I made this the other day. Go to WessB's site for help. You can just strap her in the seat also!

I currently only have a large, but was thinking about springing for a small for ease of travel. I just know I don't want to go off again without it. Its like a member of the family

Hey Rod she was thinking about it but it is just easier to put it in the wheelbarrow and haul it to the car...I am sure I can find other projects for her to do....
