Has anyone seen or tried the BGE Wok(for large BGE)? Barbeques Galore in Tucson carries them. They fit perfectely on top of the fire-ring. Looks like the way to get wok results as intended(very high-temp & very quick cook). Anyone tried this?

    New Bob,
The Wok looks like a standard hammered steel Wok(not punched-out) made with steel approximately 1/8" thickness. Diameter is just bigger than the inside of the fire-ring; it sets onto the fire-ring. It has small handles that are somewhat verticle to clear the inside of the BGE. The small half-oval indentions in the top of the fire-ring allows hot air to escape from below. [p]I'll have to check on the price; they are carried by Barbeques Galore here in Tucson, Az. As far as I know they get their BGE supplies(BGE, plate-setters, daisy-wheels, etc) from BGE in Atlanta but this item doesn't show-up on the BGE website. I will check on that also.[p]I will post when I get the info.[p]If you like Wok cooking this is the way to get the great results that come from a superheated Wok; you cannot do it with stove top Woks.

    New Bob,
    Here is the info:
Barbeques Galore here in Tucson sell the Wok for S44.95.
They get them from their distributor in Springfield, Missouri called Outdoor Home.
The number is 1-888-869-3447 you can probably get one shipped to you although there maybe other supplier nearer to your location.
For BGE supplies ask for Bev or RD

    Chris,
Been using a wok with my Egg for more than a year. It's a hand hammered carbon steel one and fit perfectly.
I would recomend you also get the wok shovel as well. Great fun and a less fattening way to enjoy the Egg.
