One of my Thermapens has died. I got a "low batt" on the screen one day, replaced it the next day and now just get a blank screen. Has anyone sent theirs in for repair? It may still be under warranty.

    Yes.

Mine was out of warranty when it acted up.

    They were wonderful.

I don't recall the name of the woman who handles repair, but I can say I had one of my better interactions with a retailer.

I think my repair was $10 plus shipping. That was two years ago and the unit is still going strong.

Give 'em a call tomorrow. They are kinda like Shotgun Fred's group. Very able and eager to please.

Make sure the battery isn't upside down.

    Wayne,

There have been a couple of posts about repair. One new and one refirbished.

Both posts were very positive. The refirbished got replaced with a new as I recall.

Thermoworks is about 50 miles south of here - not that that helps any.

If there is anything I can do to help, let me know. Be happy to assist if needed.

The only time I had to send one back the display was acting up. They said 'you shouldnt have to tolerate that' and they just sent me a new one to replace it...cant beat the thermapen folks!

...for the good report on the service and support. Shipping should be quick, I live next door to Utah.
