Drunken Tenderloin

I am attempting this for the first time. I have read that I should sear the meat on all sides in a pan and then transfer to the grill. Should I use a dry pan or should it have some oil in it? Cast iron or regular? Should I have it on HI for this process??
Thanks for any responses

    <p />Wardster, you are in for a real treat. Check out the link - I used a Dutch oven, but I'm sure that about anything else would work! :~}
