Cooked some wings tonight using john henry pecan rub. They were very good. I got better reviews than my ragin river wings. Im thinking about doing my next baby back in this. Anyone use this alot?
By the way, my cook tonight started out as a nice evening cook. About 15 minute into the wings, Mother Nature decided to drop about 3 inches of rain in about 1.5 hours. Egg did good in this monsoon trial.

I bought a regular-sized bottle of the rub, and burned through it pretty quickly, so I ended up getting the Texas Size edition for the next round. Here it is going on some of the ribs (along with some Dizzy Pig and and Benoit's)

-I got the big bottle from BBQ Outfitters here in Austin
-It tastes GREAT on the ribs. Really good on pork butt, too!
-My favorite on ribs? This picture pretty much sums it up:

Of course, I'm always willing to try something new!

Thanks for the info. Just went to their website but they only show the small jar. Ill give them a call in a couple days and see about getting that 29 oz. one. I usually mop my bbq wings in sauce, but tonight I couldnt make myself. That rub was to good.

JH Pecan is a staple at our house..use it a lot..also have several others we use regularly..the Raspberry Chipotle is great on veggies..also keep a bottle of the 'HOT' pecan and jalapeno rubs around too...

I use John Henry Rubs a lot. To me they seem to give out more flavor. But thats just me. What do I know.

Click on the "bulk" tab. I buy it in the 10 lb container. Beanie-Bean's combination of pecan rub and Dizzy Pig's Dizzy Dust is the same way I always do ribs. The flavor of the sweet pecan rub and a little heat added from the dizzy dust is just perfect. I paint with 2/3 Sweet Baby Ray's; 1/3 clover honey, in the last hour of the 3-1-1 method. Thanks to Carwash Mike for helping me find this recipe.
