last 25...

it used to be that clicking on ":last 25" brought you past that page and landed you on the list of forums. by hitting "back", you would find the last 25.

last couple times i've tried it, hitting back just repeatedly lands me on the list of fourms.

how's a dude find the last 25 now?

(keep up the good work. i have a feeling yer gonna tell me the reason it is not working right is cuz yer fixing that old behavior anyway!)

    I am indeed working on that strange behavior. It has been a bit of a pain but I think I'm almost finished and ready to deploy my changes on eggheadforum. Are you using greeneggers.net? We added the "BETA" notice at the top of the screen on greeneggers.net so folks wouldn't be bothered with development issues. If you're on eggheadforum.com, then I'm not sure why the behavior has changed there. Perhaps I broke something before I began making changes over on greeneggers.net. Either way, all should be well soon when I deploy my changes to eggheadforum.com.

    ah yes. you are very astute. i am stuck on .net (beta).

    funny thing is that '.net' worked better for me (still have to sign in over and over, but no biggie) than '.com' did. So i eventually just changed my bookmarks to '.net'

    and now you want me to change them back?!?!?! hahaha

    FWIW, "last 25" seems to be working.

    Yes, I just completed my changes to the last25 script -- hopefully that will eliminate that annoying behavior. We are preparing to deploy our new search feature which was also affected by this "bouncing around" issue and I decided it was time to get rid of it.

    Sorry about the domain bouncing. The .net domain has always been our test domain; so, at times it's possible that it may indeed work better temporarily. But it's also possible that it will break at times too. We try to get things working properly there first before deploying them on eggheadforum.com.

    Thanks to you too -- it's nice to be appreciated every now and then.

    Just deployed the new "session" logic to eggheadforum.com which should prevent popping into the forums list periodically.
