Bourbon & Brown Sugar Marinated Tri Tip

This recipe is from the Summer 208 Fine Cooking Grilling Issue. Its got to be good there's an egg ad on page three. The Egg Shot

Here it is served with Egg Finished Roasted Potatoes and a green salad. Cooked the Tri Tip at 400 direct until 135 about 7 minutes a side. I used the Old Grand Dad I got for my Dad in the Marinade/Sauce. Old # 7 for me.

This one is pretty good. I like taking the marinade and concentrating it for the sauce. Alass no Bourbon for the cook just the old standby Old #7.

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup Bourbon
1/3 cup pack Brown Sugar
1 Tbs Dijon Mustard
1tsp hot sauce ( Tabasco)
2 lbs of beef.
Marinate the meat for 20-30 minutes. Take the meat from the marinade and thicken the excess on the stove. -
