Hi, I bake all the time in mine and If I am using the stone it goes in when the lump is lit. that way it is up to heat and not sucking it all out when you put in the cookies. you can peak down the daisy wheel to see if they are browning. The biggest thing with baking is to make sure the smoke is clear. If i have a messy egg I will change out the lump or do a high burn to clean it. pulled pork is great but not as smoke on chocolate chip cookies. and did I say make sure the smoke is clear. when it is give it another 5 minutes to be sure. :) julie and share some pics!

I usually do several batches and the stone is usually hot! I do like to use the "Renolds Release Foil" as nothing sticks to it!

These are Peanut Butter cookies I did at an Eggfest!
