DigiQ Upgrades?

I have a large BGE and I am looking at purchasing a DigiQ. I would assume I need the Pit Viper 10 CFM fan but should I also consider longer meat/pit probes? It looks as though 6 feet is standard. Is there any reason why I should be considering the eight or ten footers?

That would depend on where you mount the DigiQ?
I don't really need the extra length..

You can mount them wherever you want.
It is just convenient for me to put the bendable angle mounting bracket on top of the fan.
