Brisket and Butt Question..?

ILL--EGGER
Posts: 478
I'm planning to cook a beef brisket for the holiday and was wondering if anyone has cooked a pork butt at the same time as the brisket and if it's cook time is similar and is this a good idea or not? i.e. does the brisket cook for about 1.5-2 hours per pound like the pork butt or is it closer to 1 hour per pound (assuming dome temp. around 230-250)? Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

I'm doing a large brisket and 2 butts together Thursday/Friday.
Butts on top of raised grid, brisket underneath.
I've done it several times in the past with good results. Just keep an eye on them for internal temps - they likely will not get done at the same time. -
