Small grid for Large Egg?

marrt
Posts: 22
I'd like to purchase a "smaller" cast iron grid for my LBGE to get my steaks close to the coals for initial sear. Ideally, I'd like something that sit's 2-3 inches above the coals (i.e., not directly on the coals). I'm sure others have done this. Any recommendations?

Get a spider from TJV and add a medium cast iron grid. The spider will drop the grid down from the fire ring, which means you're closer to the coals without fully loading the egg with lump.

Yep...that's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
