Sweet & Spicy Planked Salmon MY BEST!

2 pounds skinned salmon fillet
1 cedar plank
1 c. chopped shallots
4 Tbsp. Maple Syrup
1/2 C. BBQ Sauce
1 Tbsp. red pepper flakes
2 Tbsp brown sugar
Stir together all sauce ingredients. pour over salmon fillet, cover with plastic wrap and marinate overnight.
The next day: soak the cedar plank in water for 2--4 hours. Heat egg.
Place the marinated salmon onto plank and pour half of the remaining marinade onto the salmon.
Put the plank and cook directly on the heated egg.
Close the lid and cook at 300 as slowly as possible until 145 internal.
Pour the remaining marinade over salmon halfway through cooking. Serves 4 people.

Thanks! I have some salmon in the fridge and some planks in the freezer (team Alaska taught me this trick, soak your planks and then put in freezer, you are ready any time)

As usuall very unique cook. Going to do some fish this week also as time is limited. Got 2 mangos for one cook but may try that also.

Lemon pie recipe:
1 packet graham crackers
1/2 stick butter
1 pckt. cream cheese
6 squeezed green lemons
1 can condensed milk
Cool whip
Melt butter & mix with ground crackers, make the crust & put in oven at 300 for 10 min. Let cool. In a blender put rest of the ingredients & pour over crust. Chill and garnish with cool whip or canned fruit (Cherries, bluberries etc.). ENJOY -
