Grilled steaks last nite. Learned the importance of burping the egg. Had on a sleevless shirt. Lost most of the hair in my right armpit. Wonderful smell.
So what is the proper and safe way to burp?

Open the vent and lift the top and count to five. That will allow the egg to do its stuff.

I take it, you lift the top just a little?

I usually open the dome about 1/2 an inch three or four times
"burping" the egg. Sometimes on a really hot fire I'll open the lower vent first.

I lift the whole vent off - wait a second and open slowly.. I also use leather welding gloves I bought at home depot for $15....

yea...it only takes one flashback experience to sear the need to burp your Egg before opening it.
