Is there some way to get the threaded view to take up less space?

It would be nice if I could reduce the line spacing so it's the same as in classic view.

Even better would be to have collapsible threads. Any way to do that?

    We'll take a look at it. The line height shouldn't be too big a deal. Collapsable threads would be a bit more work, especially if we were to use AJAX code to fetch the hidden data which would avoid even downloading it until and unless it is required (a prime benefit of collapsing it).
