Pizza stones....

I bought one of the cheaper stones at Walmart and it has been working great, but it is starting to get burnt droppings on it. With it being porous, how do you clean it? Thanks.

you don't really need to, but if you turn it over, on a very hot fire, it will come clean as new after 20-30 min.
you can also stick it in the clean cycle of you oven. -
That sounds easy enough, Thanks Dale.

I would start in a just lit egg. Cruddy side down and slowly bring it up to it stay temp, say 600 F. Let it stay at that temp for approx a half hour then allow it to cool completely.
I have cracked quite a few cheap pizza stones and a Primo stone. Bought a BGE stone after breaking the Primo and it's still going strong. -
So you put the stone right on the grate or use a tablesetter?Bone Daddy's Competition BBQ & Catering

Not totally sure of your question but if baking or cooking pizza my method is:
plate setter feet down
cooking grid
pizza stone
and I cook my pizzas on this:
