Winter Care

Ok ok! I know,... it's a little early to be using the W word, but a thought ocurred to me as I admired my egg last night... I remembered having ceramic tiles outside last winter, and water seeped under the ceramic and then as it froze, it expanded and cracked the ouside surface. If water got into the tiles ( ie. at the very top if the cover is off) could this happen to the Egg? Any experiences?

ive got 3 eggs that sit in snow banks in newengland. the one i didnt use shows signs similar to what your saying, the ones i use atleast weekly are fine. i would say keep it covered if your not going to use it much once it starts snowing or maybe put it under shelter

Sorry about the fire.. obvious smoke jokes aside. FIVE!! I do agree that a second one ( for starts ) would be very helpful. Never seem to be able to get enough ribs in there! And then there's the days I want to do fish and meat,..
