Hello

we had our first try with our new medium egg and it worked great. We roasted a whole chicken with the following recipe:

3 lb whole chiken

1/2 lemon, 1/2 lime & 1/2 garlic clove inside the cavity

seasoned in the cavity and outside with bbq chicken seasoning

placed on the grill in a pan for 90 min's at 350F

We were surprized at the amount of flavor the egg made - very happy with the results, and the prep time was next to nothing!

Any other citrus based recipe ideas would be appreciated

thx

Sounds good! Might that have been 1/2 a head of garlic? (I love the stuff!)

here is a good looking marinade for chicken.. i may try this on my next one::

    Marinade, Poultry, Orange

    1/2 cup brandy
    1 cup fresh orange juice
    1 tsp ginger
    1 tsp tarragon
    3 Tbs orange liqueur
1 tsp black pepper Salt to taste

First rub fowl, either chicken, duck or game hens, with one fourth of the brandy. Mix remaining brandy, orange juice, liqueur, salt, pepper, ginger, and tarragon. Pour over birds and let marinate. Also use marinade to baste while grilling.
