tuna marinade

gonna cook some tuna steaks in a few hours. ive heard different opinions as far as how long to marinate before cooking is ok to go ahead put some soy and wasabi on or wait right before cooking?

    at the price of tuna around here i just rub in some soyvey or wasabiyaki right before cooking just to help the sesame seeds stick. plus i want to taste the tuna and not the marinade. but that is just my taste
