I'm about to fire up the grill for some chicken and my wife suggested grilled pinapple with the chicken...any suggestions, since it would be my first shot at pinapple on the egg...

If you have some time marinate in spiced rum and brown sugar. If not put the pineapple pieces in a zip loc bag with some brown sugar and shake it up to try and coat it. Grill 350-375ish until warmed through. Some grill marks make a nice presentation. Warm pineapple over vanilla ice cream is awesome. FG

You want to cook it on high heat direct around the 500 degree mark for about three minutes per side.Just enough to get the grill marks on the fruit.Do not over cook! Season with whatever turns you on.Brown sugar is the base then you can go from there.

A good Teriyaki glaze is really good on pineapple too!

There was a recipe in the cookbook that came with my Weber gasser (in the days before enlightenment of egg worship).

    Rum Pineapple Boats

    1 pineapple
    1/3 cup melted butter
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    3 T dark rum
    1/2 t ground cinnamon
    1/2 t ground cloves
    1/4 t ground nutmeg

Cut pineapple through top and core into quarters. Cut pineapple into 1/2 inch slices, cutting to, but not through, the shell. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in rest of ingredients (except for nutmeg)

Wrap tops in heavy foil. Place pineapple quarters, shell side down, cook until heated through, about 15 minutes at 375 degreees, basting with the butter-rum mixture. Just before serving, remove foil from tops and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Note: I'm not a fan of cloves, so I leave them out.

we grilled a few slices the other night.
After we grilled the slices i added a sprinkle
of cinammon and a scoop of ice cream or coolwhip
    Everyone enjoyed them
Next time i will try and marinate in rum.
    mmmmm
