I have had a Large Egg for less than 2 weeks and am really enjoying it.
I have a good drunk chicken recipe I will be trying tonight but would welcome any suggestions on temp. or any other recommendations.

375 indirect until breast is 160-165 & thighs are 190...usually about 1 - 1 1/2 hrs...

Direct on raised grid at 350 for 60-65 min should give you 160 degrees in the breast on a spatchcocked bird. -

Just did a 4.7 lb bird. Cooked indirect (PS legs up), drip pan, grate, chicken beer can stand.
Cooked at 350 for an hour and it was done (early). Used hard cider for my beer. I poured cider over the chicken and hit with some homemade rub during preparation. Chicken was juicy. Get a temp probe and monitor it. Like I said, I expected it to be done about 1hr and 10 min. when I went out at 1 hr to check the temp., it was at 168 (done at 165). Good luck. -
