Here's tonight's cook after the prep:

Finishing up the roast part of the TRex cook with the cast iron grid up on the Woo2 Mk 2 which arrived earlier today:

Yup, that's my plate there:

I think that I'm liking the steak roasted way up there a bit farther from the lump. Really nice dinner!

That looks great Mike!! Waiting on D. to finnish packing so catching quick forum fix! Whats that white "spice" on the raw meat. Garlic? BTW you got mail. Something to think about an the drive to work!
Wouldn't show the wife. You'll never get a bike if she reads it!
-
Good looking steaks.
BTW, what size EGG is that?
Greg -
looking great. What's the spice you used...is that garlic pieces I see?
-
Nice looking steaks, Mike.

Got your mail--thanks for sharing! Yeah, I grabbed the wrong bottle when I seasoned up the steaks this afternoon--did teriyaki instead of soy sauce. It was supposed to be soy sauce, some of that salt-free cajun seasoning I use and am almost out of, some fresh ground black pepper, and some minced garlic. You were right--that was garlic.
Ride safely my friend. -
Greg,
That was my SBGE with the new 13" cast iron grid (still being broken in...) sitting on top of a Woo2 ring. -
You got it right--that is freshly minced garlic, along with some teriyaki, salt-free cajun seasoning, and some fresh ground black pepper. I was in a hurry and grabbed the teriyaki bottle instead of the soy sauce. They look the same from the top.

Looks real good Good marks.
My Best,
Ross -
A work of art. Where's mine?
-
Beautiful.
I love rib-eyes.
Greg -
Yeah, I just got a small and a new cast iron grid.
I do not have a Woo2 ring or any "egg accessories", although the adjustable rig with sliding grids looks interesting.
Greg -
Thanks! Next time, I'll use the right seasonings
-
Thanks, Ross. I saw your ribeyes from the other day, and I knew that I had to stop by the store to get some. I've got some t-bones for a steal. also!
-
Thanks...the kids ate yours :P
-
I love ribeyes, too! I'm trying to lay off them for a while, but I keep seeing Ross in Ventura's cooks!
-
Thanks, Buster Dog!
-
Well, ok, I hate to do this, but I guess I'm gonna have to eat the kids. :woohoo: Thanks anyway!
