prime rib question

I've been reading a bit on how to cook a prime rib on the BGE. This seems like a great method:

My question is: when I put the meat back on the egg at 500 deg, am I still cooking indirect or do I remove the plate setter?
thanks

i would keep it inderect, especially if there is a lot of fat on the rib. sometimes i just skip the sear all together if it looks good. im actually a fan of searing them first and when i say sear its about 500 dome, not a high temp sear like for a steakfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

indirect with a drip pan.
If you put a prime rib roast on direct heat at 500 you have a sooty fire. -
Great! Thanks for the replies.
