New access method implemented

To anyone having trouble accessing the site from outside the United States,

I've just implemented the new, cookie based, access request application on both eggheadforum.com and greeneggers.net. The next time you request access, a cookie will be saved on your browser that should eliminate the need to keep repeating the process.

Additionally, members may request access using their usual username and password which bypasses the usual email confirmation (since members have already done that).

Further, even guests need only validate their email once (assuming the use the same email address and password second and subsequent times).

I'll still need to do some tweaking (e.g. if someone has forgotten their password and lost their access cookie), but for the moment, it should be good-to-go.

Tomorrow, I'll remove all of the ip addresses in the "allow list" which may force some to use the new process a bit sooner rather than later, but I'd like to get rid of the several hundred ip addresses that we've accumulated using the old method since likely very few of them are actually being used anymore.
