Have a 7 pound Perdu Oven Stuffer on Mr. Egg as I type.
My question is, will the one hour rule of thumb hold with that size bird?
The Ms. and I aren't in any great hurry tonight.
Thanks

Sundown,
My one hour rule pertains to 4 pound birds. I've never done a bird that big, so if you have a meat thermometer, I'd use it![p]TNW

Sundown,
Just did a 5+ and it took 1 1/4 hours and was a tad too juicy for some (I thought it was just right).have fun!

The Naked Whiz,
write this in your book. 7 pound bird one and a half hours at 350º Absoutely great, just moist enough - not too wet - not too dry. My wife was happy and in my world that is all I have to worry about....

Sundown,
Always good to have a happy wife, not good if you have to sleep with the enemy. ÖÖÖ
Glad you had a successful cook.
