Upgrades

Had my egg for 5 or six years now. Am thinking of getting some upgrades for my medium egg - stainless steel draft door and a combination slide/daisy wheel top.[p]One item I am on the fence about is the "spring assisted bands".[p]Anybody have any input on whether they are worth the 53.95 upgrade price. My old bands are fine but getting little rusty. Am considering the new bands because it looks like they do away with the linkage on the sides. They are hard to keep clean & tend to get in the way on my table setup.[p]There is no local retailer where I live so I can't take a look at them before I decide to buy.[p]Any input is greatly appreciated.

Rich K,[p]Yes to all your upgrades. The stainless is great. The daisy wheel is a must. The spring? You betcha. It is like gaining another hand.

Right you are! Especially about the spring being "gaining another hand." (Can't wait till the spring for small comes out. I probably use the small 4 times as much as the large.)

Get the new spring loaded band. I have one on my large BGE and like other folks have said, its like getting another hand.
