Sorry, I missed Doug's gathering. With Father's day, I had a lot of family and friends in town.
Went to the Mothership class on Thursday. Ran into Bill and Smokey. Picked up a platesetter and a cast iron grid for my small.
From the knowledge, I was quite excited about an EGGin' weekend.
Friday night - Shrimp and Scallops on the Small - Pizza on the Large - Everything turned out great but left the last pizza on a little too long. Too many beers and mojitos.
Sunday - I cooked my first butt (based on the class) on the large. Put it on at 10am with only rub on it, doubled foiled it at 2pm and pulled it off at 6pm. Also, I cooked up some wings on the Small with only a rub on them. Everything was awesome. The bone pulled right out of the butt clean and easy. It was sooo good and easy as well. The wings really turned out better. I usually cook them direct, but this time cooked them at the same temp of 400 with the platesetter on my small.
Overall a great EGGin' weekend. Hope you all had fun.

Hey Greg,I really hoped you would make it,but family comes first.Hope you had a great time.The next time we get together,I will personally send you a invite TB.I don't know when we will have it at my house again,but will talk to whoever is having it,and make sure it's cool.I look forward to it man.If not,I'm sure i'll see you in October :woohoo:
