I wish I were better at hardware store creativity. I grilled some fish on the mini tonight and had the usual problem of flipping it without it breaking into pieces and getting it off without half of it falling through the grate. I obviously need one of those screen-like things that holds the fish and you just grab the handle and flip. But I haven't seen ANYTHING small enough to work in the mini. I need some brilliant ideas. Anyone feeling brilliant this weekend?[p]The tilapia in asian spicy marinade was delish even in pieces!

  • MollyShark,[p]Skewering works well on small fish. Run two metal skewers parallel to each other through the belly and out the back of the fish. Have one enter the belly near the tail, the other near the head. If the fish are small enough you could combine two or three fish on the same two skewers. Also to keep fish from sticking it's important to have a very hot clean grill, to oil the fish skin, and to oil well the grill just before adding the fish.[p]Good luck![p]McD [p]

McD,[p]Interesting thought. I guess you could skewer filets in a ripple potato-chip looking configuration and very little of the fish would actually TOUCH the grill. I'll experiment with that.[p]Thanks.[p]mShark
