FIRST PIZZA SUCCESS - FINALLY!!

Well, last night I finally got a home-made pizza to turn out the way I wanted - in fact, I don't mind saying that it was GREAT!! We started with a Betty Crocker packaged dough mix (next time we will make our own), spread it out to about 13" or so, added the sause, cheese, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, more cheese and some black olives. Put her on when the egg was at 550, cooked for 10-11 minutes. The crust was golden brown and the cheese was nice and bubbly and just turning brown at the edges. Ummmmm, good! The key, I think, was keeping the dough dry enough with pleny of flour and using flour on the peal instead of corn meal. Next time, more cheese and our own dough. Thanks to all of you here on the forum for your ideas and suggestions that helped me through my previous attempts - they finally paid off! I can't wait to do our next pizza, but tonight, my first spatchcocked chicken.
